About
We are a design consultancy that believes good design is not about trends—it's about principles that have stood the test of time.
Our Philosophy
In a world obsessed with the new, we look to what endures. Our work is guided by two masters of design thinking: Don Norman, who taught us that design must be understandable, and Dieter Rams, who showed us that less is more.
Norman's six principles—visibility, feedback, affordance, mapping, constraints, and consistency—form the foundation of how we think about user experience. If a user can't see what to do, can't tell if something worked, or can't figure out how something works, the design has failed.
Rams' ten principles push us further. Good design must be useful, honest, and unobtrusive. It must last. It must be environmentally responsible. And above all, it must be as little design as possible.
Every project we take on is filtered through these sixteen principles. The result is design that works— not just today, but for years to come.
The Principles That Guide Us
Visibility
NormanMake possible actions visible so users know what they can do.
Feedback
NormanCommunicate the results of actions so users know what happened.
Affordance
NormanDesign elements so their function is clear from their appearance.
Mapping
NormanControls should reflect their effect in a natural, intuitive way.
Constraints
NormanLimit actions to prevent errors and guide users toward correct use.
Consistency
NormanUse familiar patterns so users don't have to relearn interactions.
Innovative
RamsTechnological innovation creates new possibilities for design.
Useful
RamsDesign fulfils a purpose — both primary and secondary functions.
Aesthetic
RamsBeauty and utility are not opposites; good design is both.
Understandable
RamsThe product is self-explanatory — no manual required.
Unobtrusive
RamsDesign should be a tool, not a statement. Neutral, not decorative.
Honest
RamsDon't make a product look more powerful or valuable than it is.
Long-lasting
RamsAvoid being fashionable — design that endures never looks outdated.
Thorough
RamsNothing is arbitrary. Every detail is considered and intentional.
Environmentally friendly
RamsDesign contributes to preserving the environment. No waste.
Less is more
RamsConcentrate on the essentials. Less, but better.
Our Approach
No Trends
We don't chase what's popular. We chase what works. Trends age; principles endure.
No Fluff
Every element must earn its place. If it doesn't serve the user or the goal, it goes.
No Deception
Dark patterns are shortcuts that cost trust. We design honest experiences that respect users.
